So I get home from work today, and I've got water bubbling up out of the ground near the road, between my property and my neighbor's. My neighbor doesn't live in the house anymore, it's vacant, so I doubt he even knows about this yet. He stops by the property once or twice a month to mow the lawn and check on stuff.
I've still got water pressure in my house, and the leak is nowhere near my septic tank, so I'm hoping there's a line broken that feeds HIS house and not mine... or else it's a problem with HIS septic system. I'm thinking it's a water line.
I called the water company, now I just gotta wait until they get out here.
At least this happened on the day BEFORE I fly out to Japan, rather than after I'd already left. /panic mode on
EDIT - /panic mode off. Water company got here pretty fast, confirmed it's a break in the line before it gets to the meter... so no cost to me, and it's still safe to use the water in my house. Since I've still got water, they'll be fixing the break tomorrow morning.
