They were ok. I remember reading the Hobbit + all 3 LOtR book when I was in middle school/high school and found them pretty enjoyable, I wasnt too much into the movies tho.

On a side note; I just realized I haven't watched regular TV in like 3 months... only downloaded or DVD anime.

Watching all this anime has made me commercial-intolerant. That's why the only TV I've watched in the past 2 or 3 months has been on demand. And very little of it, too.

How the..... What rock have you been living under that you managed to avoid seeing them for soo long. They run like 5 times a month on cable easily.

PS. read the books they are better. Also, awsome that peter jackson may also direct the hobit movies now that del toro had to drop out.

I struggled to read the books, and I love to read. They were just... painful to me.

The ones I tended to read? In my opinion they were.

Set up both my macbooks to rip DVDs so I can sell them later. The older one (Waffles) is really starting to show its age now

I think I read them the first time when I was 9. The first book is boring as hell but it gets better with the later ones.
Just a lot of text. The combined one is 1000 pages and they are pretty much bible pages with a really small font.

Its just slower and is gonna take twice as long. But its okay, because I still love it and it means that when we go back to uni in September Mat can come and stay at mine because he won't have to work on his beast of a pc.

Hopefully by the time I sell all these DVDs I should have enough credit at CEX to buy another lens for my camera
