What movie did he watch that makes him think poorly of it? Not that there arent plenty of them but i guess theres plenty for every location in the world. Backpacking the west coast in the summer would be amazing.

I almost just had the shock of my life, quite literally!

I had to run across the street to get something from my car (and it is a nasty T-storm outside right now) and on my way back to the house lightning struck a telephone pole that I was no more then 5 feet away from, it scared the piss out of me. I am still shaking, and my ears are still ringing. and I got a big ass cut on my hand from when I dove to the ground as it happened.

holy fuck was that intense!

Thank god that didnt knock out my power as well.

and on an unrelated note, I just realized I haven't watched anime in like 5 days, my manga addiction has been creeping up on me again.

Got of work and saw some nice lightning towards the north into Wis.  pretty cool looking (love the flashes in the sky that silhouette the clouds).

its a scary world out there dude. your best to just stock up on instant raman and become a Hikikomori. I mean really, I almost died last time I went outside! I wont be making that mistake again anytime soon. or atleast until tomorrow when I gotta work =(

UPDATE: well this isnt good, I must not have noticed becuz I was still in almost a state of shock after that incident earlier, but it seems I really messed up my hip when I took a dive to the cement earlier.
I just stood up to go outside for a smoke and I could hardly walk, every time I put weight on my right leg it hurt like hell. When it happened, I was running near full speed and instinctively dove to the ground when the lightning struck, not that it would have mattered, lightning strikes much faster then I can dive. Anyway, it seems I landed really hard on my hip and now its messed up.

If this keeps up I prolly wont be able to go to work tomorrow, which I spose isnt a bad thing, I will still get payed, but I will lose a sick/vacation day.

I think it's really rude the amount of jobs I've applied to and I've only had a few responses (negative) but at least they were responses and not completely ignoring me.

dude u have no idea. I must have apped 50 diff places over the course of a year before finding my last job, and in the end, I am working at a place where my degree doesnt even matter.

Ah you see I kind of expect that, atm I'm just looking for work to keep my funds on balance while I finish my last year at university, so any part time work going really.

I'd love to get a job around my course (Graphic Design) but it's a hard industry to get into, especially at this stage of learning. I just would like something to do and a steady income.

I'd say I've handed out about the same amount of CV's but within the last month and a half. I wouldn't mind if I got a few more unsuccessful replies, but no reply at all tells me that they've probably not even looked at it

At least I can't be moaned at by my parents for not trying! Seriously, been sat here all morning ringing around for jobs and hitting dead end after dead end.

Everytime your muscles get destroyed they regrow slightly stronger!
