Yeah my mum and a good amount of my family I can deal with. My mum's new husband ob the other hand is just bleh, he has to have everything his way otherwise he throws anger fits... I don't know what my mum sees in this man, but not much of the rest of us can see anything.

Imperial vs Metric: I find the metric system is a much cleaner system to use and I would much prefer using that to the Imperial. Proinbrought up base 12, while it is a nice thing for measurements you could still quite easily convert the same idea to metric. you have your fifths with 2 your quarters with 2.5 your thirds with 3.33 and your halfs with 5, you only lose 6ths which last I checked not many people go that deep into measurement in carpentering now a days anyway. So the system was very much of good use when it made since, it hasn't made since to use in quite a while though and with every where else mainly using metric wouldn't it make since to change by now? I guess that is part of the United States need to be different.

@Proin, I don't Iron at all though I do hate creases in my clothes I find they look retarded so I would fail in the navy since I would do everything to keep it out... and wrinkling I use the dryer to get them out quick when needed. So yeah I don't think I would do to well as a Navy Mate due to that among many other reasons..

To be honest it was quite hilarious after we got outside.

Same here. I can't get along with my family and then I mean everyone. My parents always pressure me to do things their way and my other relatives revere me because I'm in a uni but I have nothing whatsoever in common with them. My current study is basically 60% my parent's choice and 40% mine ... even the schools I went to were decided for me. I couldn't transfer high schools because my parents said "You're in it for so long might as well finish it" and I HATED that high school. Also they force their religion on me ... ugh I hope I can move out soon :3

Wow, sucks to be you guys. I've always enjoyed hanging out with my dad, and my mom (who I didn't always get along with) never actually embarrased me or anything. Now I love hanging out with my parents, though part of that is because I normally live several thousand miles away and have only seen them twice in the past two years.

Yeah parents can be really bad or really easy, all depends on the family. Just be glad your not like one of my buddies and have your parents kick you out at 8 and bounce from family to family till your 16 then live homeless... and then once you get a job and get back to talk with your parents they still ignore you...

Same here, except mine live a little closer and I see em about 5 times a year. Makes you realise how much you miss them.

I like the imperial system because my foot is a foot long and my right index finger segment thing is an inch.

Very nice for when trying to quickly figure out how big something is ^_^

What's it with all you and your family?
I for one enjoy spending some time with my relatives once in a while. Never a dull day.
And my parents are quite bearable people, my mother's on the same wavelenght as me and my father's an interesting guy since he always has something new in the works. So either we wonder what would be the best way to fix something he's doing or I end up relaxing with my mother while laughing our asses off at my father's latest idea.

You know I thought about doing a break down of my family, started to get threw it, realised it would be way too long. So yeah my family is one of those that you want to get away from, the further the better, one of my uncles proved that well by moving to Chicago to get away from all the drama. Yeah my family has drama, and not a little and not in spurts it's all the time and just stupid. That is why I say I want to get away from this so I can come and visit get all the drama wrapped up into three sentences and have a good time with family... I love my family to death but they fucking all drive me up the wall, I have been wanting to get as far away as possible since I was 15 from all these people.

About Family... Well I live with my mom and litle brother

We don't have that much money and I fight with my brother every now and then (I've punched him only once, he cried for an hour

I wouldn't change my family, I love it

Families are good

they make you smile when you are sad and etc.

though, I would like to meet my dad, I don't know much about him, end of that story

then even though I've over 15 cousins I can remember the name of only about 8 of them

Gonna go and prepare some food now... see ya soon again.

Exactly. I started watching it and forgot about the beginning of the first episode when they went to picnic all together. It's amazing how they manage to present things so peacefully then bam, everything turns to crap.

As for seeing parents and Grandparents. I see one set of my grandparents every fortnight or so. I think they are getting alittle too old though. Grandma complimented my haircut yesterday which she has seen at least 4 times since I got it cut. >_<

My other set I see them once every 2 years or so. They live in New Zealand so its hard to see them regularly. Parents on the other hand I still live with at the moment and see every day. They can be a pain but its cheaper than living alone or with roomies and they have their good points so. >.>

Lol lol I hardly ever see my family and frankly I don't want to either. One half lives across the globe so I can't see them and the other half lives like 50 km away and I don't like them too much so I never visit them unless I'm being forced by my mother.
If only them fast money making schemes were real then I could move out faster than a water droplet evaporates in the hot mid-august summer sun in the desert on a cooking plate. Would be cool if I can finally decide things for my self instead of being filled in like a preference sheet.

Also I slept 2 hours ... YAY!

My nan tells me I've lost loads of weight every time I see her. I must have been a blimp a few years ago!
