Sound quality is my top priority right now. Apple's earbuds have spoiled me. So I guess the Sony ones would be my best bet?

Why not just get new apple earbuds then?

Ive got a few of them laying around the house, but all have 1 problem or another, but the sound quality was always good when they were new.

Earbuds are nice cuz they are compact. They fit in your pocket. Also, they dont bounce around when I am jogging or at the gym. I guess whether or not they fall out is dependant on the persons ear. For example, one type wont fall out even if I pull them, the other type fall out when I am just walking.
I only use earphones at the computer tho... but that is mostly for the mic.

Either way, the main difference is bulk.

I can't use them when I sleep, since they ain't inear, but they're awesome for school / other shiet :'D

Ew.  Skullcandy are just as effective with regards to quality as either the Sony or Apple earbuds, but the huge difference that sets Skullcandy apart is the comfort!  Their earbuds come with 2-3 different sizes of rubber sleeves, so you can actually adjust them to fit your ear most comfortably/effectively.  I have the Apple earbuds, and I've had Sony in the past... I'd use my Skullcandy over them anyday... for workouts.  Otherwise, if I'm intent on using earbuds, I use my Etymotic Research set.  They have amazing quality, but they aren't cheap.  I much prefer my studio headphones over earbuds, tbh.  They were also not cheap, tho.

I have yet to see an in-ear from any reasonable manufacturer that doesnt.
Honestly tho, if in-ears work for you, then its prolly the way to go, but or me, even after trying all variations of fits, none will stay put. I just cant use them. Thats to say nothing of the sound quality, some are really good. Its just that personally, they do not work for me.

I was about to get the Skullcandy Ink'd buds (they were the only ones under $10) but then I looked up some reviews and all of them said they have crap durability.
I'm pretty rough with my earbuds. The Apple ones I had before lasted about a year in perfect condition, and they were owned by my mother for 2 years before that.
