Well, I ended up giving in to peer pressure. I didn't wanna go out for the game today, I wanted to stay home and play games. Unfortunately, I literally got kidnapped. 2 full cars of friends showed up and basically dragged me out of the house =/ It started out lame feigning interest in the super bowl. After a handful of beers tho I somehow managed to be interested.
I live in Wisconsin so you would think I would be gung-ho about the Packers (we won btw) but I just cant really get into the games. I did however bet $50 on my home team and won that.
TL;DR? I got dragged into something I didn't wanna do but ended up having a lot of fun (and beer)
Wow, today was a day full of firsts!
1. My first superbowl.
2. The first time I've sat through and understood and enjoyed an entire football game
3. First time eating a hot dog
4. First time going to a sports game-watching party (coincides with #1 I guess)
I rooted for the Packers because Greg Jennings was on that team, and Greg Jennings has been an inside joke among my friend circle for a while because of this
Cool, I guess, if you like sports. I detest watching football and baseball unless I am drunk and even then its basically fake interest. I just cant get excited like so many others.
On a side note, can anyone verify something for me? Between my main 2 computers, both monitors are 1080p, however only one has hdmi etc. Will there be a difference between the 2 if I try to play a blue ray file? The one has blueray stuff on it but a friend of mine is trying to tell me that it doesnt matter, both are HD 1080p where as I am assuming there should be a difference. It cost an extra $50 for the screen that is supposed to have all the bells and whistles. I try to compare but they are in different rooms so I cant really judge them side by side.
