I have an iPod Touch.............. . don't really know why I bought and I regret buying it now.
But oh well, it's almost 2 years from that.

They are reliable, I will give them that. My last iPhone got dropped into a lake and sent thru an entire washing machine cycle TWICE and still worked afterward. Even so, I dont use an iPhone anymore. iTunes is garbage. (never had an iTouch, but they are essentially the same thing minus the phone.)

they are reliable because apple blocks any control over the OS.

I'm gonna sell the piece of shit on ebay as faulty. Spent days trying to fix it now and the guy in the apple store was a cunt and essentially called me a liar. If I can recoop £100 I'll be happy as it was free to begin with.

I've lost all faith in apple though. :/

It took you long enough, I lost faith in them by the time I hit middle school. And no Leopard didn't fix my faith, it made it worse since it only fixed surface bugs and not real ones at first in my eyes, but by the time that came out I was getting really good at breaking macs. Though I will say my biggest battle was the first time I had to break a iPod without any damage to it. That took me 3 hours before I finally got it to crash, though was fun since it wouldn't re-boot (well at-least not for a few days till the battery ran dry) So yeah I guess I just enjoy breaking Apple products to ever give them a chance. Now I am just trying to remember what all I did to the iPod, damn that was when they were still relatively new...

I've not really had a problem with any of my other stuff. My iphone works fine, other than the charger conking out on my MBP its fine and the various ipods I've had have lasted beautifully despite being dropped and abused. But the shit service I got yesterday just pissed me the fuck off. Despite the fact that I had a video of the problem and told him EVERYTHING I could about what was up, I essentially got called a liar. So here's to hoping I can get £100 for it online. Luckily I got it for free 2 and a half years ago so any money made back is a bonus.

It won't wake from sleep properly. Soon as it wakes up I can see my desktop for about 4 seconds and then it sleeps again. But it keeps randomly working.

Looks like I could get between £100 and £200 on ebay. Awesome.

I'll post a video later, but I've read a few similar problems online. Its probably highly fixable but I don't have the time or the skills to do it. Getting a bit of money back just seems more sensible.

XD yeah I am generally good at fixing computers, removing rooted viruses still can be a pain, but yeah it is a 50/50 if I end up needing the disc for a repair of the OS or not in the end on those. Damn do I miss when all I did was have to share the damn files over the network from system to system now most houses only have one XP box one Seven box and the rest Vista... you can probably guess I don't fix Vista much and you would be 100% correct. Though they sure bring those Vista computers to Best Buy or Frys a lot....

It sounds more like a hardware fault though, managed to get it to load long enough for a completely fresh Snow Leopard instillation and its still fucked. From what I've read it can be a problem with the magnets that close the lid, but I don't wanna faff about with opening it and replacing bits.
