Wine can never be perfect, not going to happen. It runs 90% of programs fine, 5% better than windows itself and the rest 5% are never going to work right.
Linux is easy to use, depending on version of course, Give gentoo to most pc users and they're like, what? But some ubuntu and it's like a switch between mac and windows. People think windows is easier because that's what they've already learned. Just give a LHD car to a person used to RHD cars and the other way around.

True about compatibility. Sadly it's not about the linux being incompatible with the hardware it's about all the hardware not having drviers for linux, bored companies. Oh and linux has been x64 since god knows when. In technical aspects it's always been and probably will stay ahead of windows and mac for years.

btw. what does it matter if he's a nursery student?

hm? the most common complaints in x64 is the lack of applications. for one, there's no adobe flash in x64 linux.

Ah, well that's another thing like the drivers, not really linux's fault. They had x64 OS when the first x64 processors came out. And that's a long time ago. Not much you can do about it though. Companies just don't see a big enough market there.(if they don't all see big enough market in x64 windows either so doesn't really surprise me

Sure is awesome to be away from home at times though. But you always end up missing them before long.

So, you're like me, I'm studying physics and am tired of it to the core but just can't find anything to transfer to. So I just put in papers for a train driver for the luls. Going to apply to law school in a the spring at least though I feel I need to get out of this city.

At times there's nothing more annoying than your little sister waking you up in the morning when all you want to do is sleep(or better yet, crawling into your bed and bringing her cold feet with her, hrrr). Yet, that one saturday morning when you're feeling all down and tired to get up from bed it's a wonder how much you can miss that.
Then again, I don't have to share my food with anyone else, that means I can finally eat myself full!

Man, you can get a working one here for that price. You've got a lot of air in those prices, I'd check mainland Europe if I was you and thinking of buying a new one sometime.

Unfortunately the parents and the one who is financially supporting us (the family including yours truly's education) doesn't like me as a fine arts like Kyrdua or an IT student. they said that there's no work on IT or Fine arts from where I'm standing.
