lol...we sigh where they aren't present...my parents (cough*dad*hack...more cough) gets kinda touchy about subjects like not bein a good parent or being too harsh o his kids

Lucky bastard.  I have finals next week.   Although 2 out of 3 may be canceled since there is supposed to be a big ice storm on Monday and Tuesday.  My luck the school won't close though.

Just wondering if I would get in trouble for double posting in the ecchi thread.  I have like 1300+ pics, and not many other people are adding theirs.  I have some really good pics too.  I found a lot of artbook scans with some really cool stuff from some great anime/manga artists.

Sometimes tough love is the best love.  You just have to do whatever it takes sometimes.  ADHD doesn't make a kid a bad one, but it can make them a lot more difficult to deal with.  I know a lady in San Francisco who works with ADD and ADHD kids and their families.

My brother was/is ADHD. Back then they just assumed that someone with it was just a "bad child", now they diagnose it as a condition.
I'm not even going to pretend I know a thing about parenting, but shouldn't you at least still show him that you love him? I mean, don't cook for him, don't do him any favors, all that jazz, but don't make him think that you're on the brink of disowning him. I think that'd just make him lash out more in the end. But again, like I said, I'm not even gonna pretend I know what I'm talking about (just throwing it out there).

yea...there are boundries Rhaps-chan....i mean maybe if you were a dad...but ur his mommy.....it should be time to talk soon

I remember when my mom kicked my ass and then told me to come have dinner...i was like " I AIN'T HUNGRY" ...but then she was like you better come and eat this food or you'll see what i'll do to you".....i didn't want to see what would happen to me )

I know they are limits. I am not cooking for him but i left things out that i know he can cook or prepare on his own...so i am not starving him people!

I don't think you are doing anything that drastic.  Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to show them that you are serious.  It's a lot easier for people who don't have kids to tell you what you should do.

Parents who have their children tell them what to do aren't parents....i think that for people like that there needs to be like parent class

 i think rhaps is doing the right thing. Withholding affection is one of the most common types of discipline/behaviour management



i remember one time my sister and mum were complete utter bitches to me, like over the line horrible. i think if i remember correctly
i didnt talk to them for 6 days and went about my high school business still living at home (i was around 14)

I try, he get's on my bad side but i love the little fucker with all my pruny heart and he knows it too. It's just i am out of ideas and i dunno what to do with him anymore. If it means him going away to get help i will do it. In the mean while i am trying to get hold of his specialist to see if he can be re evaluated and if he can press the matter for him to see a child - psychologist.I really wanna know where all this paranoid behavior and violence comes from!
