There are water restrictions here in Florida, but they are usually only during Drought and aren't super serious. No watering your lawn constantly, things like that.

The fact that it doesn't remind you of how bad runescape was.. you got no funny bones.

I have joined the referral business to try and get myself a free iMac. 67 referrals is a lot of people... so I need to average 2 a week so that I will get it around the same time that The Old Republic comes out... and I need to boot camp it with Windows 7 as well. lol

I have a quick question: Does anyone know which of these two sentences is correct: "During my two years spent studying computer science, these skills have proved extremely useful." or "During my two years spent studying computer science, these skills have proven extremely useful."

I know it's only a tiny difference, and normally I wouldn't care either way, but I'm writing an application for a job proofreading 'an academic encyclopaedia' which wants 'a high level of proficiency in written English', and since I just spent the previous two paragraphs bragging about my perfect grammar, I want to make sure everything is completely, perfectly, grammatically correct :P

I'd go with the first.

As a finn I can tell that both are omitted versions of longer expressions so the case might be that both are right or both are wrong too.  ;D

I would also go with the second, it doesn't rape english as much as the first actually, i know non-english have sometimes hard time figuring out the times of words to use correctly, so I don't yell at them, but as you make mistakes your teacher, if he/she is good at teaching, should tell you where you do the errors and show you the right usage of times, simply saying "this is wrong" is not gonna help anyone :)

Go with the second.

Think I'm gonna go with the second then. That link suggests it probably doesn't actually matter either way (since nobody can agree which form is correct), but better safe than sorry :)

Thanks for the help guys.

Proven may be more common in AmE and proved more common in BrE.
Explains why we differ like this I think.

Proved = verb
Proven = Adjective

If the containing sentance was properly written, the correct form should prevail, or so it would seem.
it could just as well be a regional thing.
