I don't use McAfee as well, cuz I use a free AV and got not even a single infection, or malware/spyware/phishware

It's just a matter of not going to shady sites and googling unfamiliar sites beforehand, really.

Problem is you can't tell it's a shady site until your computer starts quaking, and when you're looking for specific software you have no choice but to turn the internet upside down.

I guess sites that falsify their download catalog are the most dangerous, especially if you're not experienced enough to realize that "There is just no way this can have 7000 seeds 70 days in".

Oh, that talk about moderators and staff, reminded me of one thing my friend did xD
1st of all, he got the position of Admin on a certain forums, then about ~6 months later he got annoyed by the people on the forums so much, he deleted & IP banned EVERY user on the forums...
....The forum was down for 2 Months, and my friend was only one whose IP ban wasn't lifted
