I habitually use "Thank You" for even the littlest things. I say "Please" for even the slightest request. I NEVER group them together as "Please and Thank You" (would get killed for taking the short way out). I NEVER hold anyone responsible for actually completing a request made by me. I NEVER expect ANY kind of reward for doing the necessary duties.

This was how I was brought up. Don't give me this "kids aren't grateful" and "Kids need to learn their manners" shit. It's only on forums and IRC that I EVER act like a bitch.

This was how I was too (I'm 18). It kinda helps that I was brought up with indian values in a liberal but traditional household.

Except for one thing:

If I request something and am assured that it will be done or that I can depend on the person, I expect it to be done. Though that doesn't mean I'm not grateful to the person.

Hm...you're right, that is part of the show. I didn't remember because I saw it when I was like 11.
Although the basic premise is actually "kids with cool gadgets form a secret anti-adult organization"
