You either deal with it (and HTFU (Harden The Fuck Up)) or you gtfo, that's how it goes. ::)
And I've never in my life used locked cans as I've never mined in densely populated areas. Also, mining is nowhere as lucrative as missioning / running Incursions (which has effectively replaced missioning by offering about double the hourly income).
