I'm a cheap ass and I put tap water in water bottles and bring it with me with me where ever I please.
That's actually greatly increasing your chance to thyroid cancer. you are NOT supposed to reuse plastic bottles. Reusing the bottles greatly increases the number of substances released from the container into the water, and into your body. Thyroid cancer is up to astronomical amounts and most of that is traced back to the over usage of plastics.
think i'll take my chances...be serious...reusing a bottle
once or twice is no big deal, but it adds up over time. If you want Bisphenol A in your body, then go ahead.
"A 2008 draft report by the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NPT) agreed with the panel, concluding that "there is some concern for neural and behavioral effects in fetuses, infants, and children at current human exposures," and that there is "some concern for bisphenol A exposure in these populations based on effects in the prostate gland, mammary gland, and an earlier age for puberty in females." The NPT also concluded that there is negligible concern that "exposure of pregnant women to bisphenol A will result in fetal or neonatal mortality, birth defects or reduced birth weight and growth in their offspring" or that it causes adverse effects in exposed adults."
