i can honestly say and i think most ppl who can navigate a computer fairly well would agree that about 98% of viruses can easily be avoided with common sense and shit like adblock and popup blockers

Reminds me of my old roommate who insisted the viruses on her computer were because of someone hacking through from the internet and it was somehow due to the fact that  we were on cable instead of DSL. I had to ask her why then did none of my 3 computers ever have a virus while hers was always getting them, it couldn't possibly be due to her online behavior after all, it must have been hackers planting viruses after hacking through the router firewall but somehow only infecting her PC.

the actual risk of your computer being "hacked" into is almost zero, the chances of it being OMG IVE BEEN HACKED cuz you accidently clicked something got a trojan/worm and your passwords/social security number blah blah blah still fairly low as a majority of worms and trojans and such now a days are like popup/ad based bullshit from like companies in the islands with pay click bullshit that illegally slap worms and shit in things and make money of your computer slowly being turned into a creepingly slow shitbucket till you reinstall windows.

a decent spyware/adware program is nice to have and run maybe once a month but even those are along the same lines as virus scan.
just kinda sad how stupid the average consumer is and buys into the fear mongering about identity theft and all that stuff. In reality businesses should probably have good spyware and virus software if they have client info Addresses names credit card info ect, and if not then even that is kinda low priority.

about hentai on overstock.com... it's true. pretty cheap, from what i can tell.

anyone here ever have trouble with friends and family trying to set them up with someone they know? lately, it seems as though everyone and their mama has some nice guy they think would hit it off with me. -_-; friends, old classmates, my mom's army nursing buddies, co-workers, etc. lord. it's getting ridiculous.

oh! strange/funny incident: one of my roommate's houseguests sleepwalked into my room at 4am... in his boxer-briefs. lol. i was more confused than anything else. i asked "what are you doing here?" and he replied "i don't know..." and he walked back out of my room. i got up out of bed walked to the living room and found him snoring on the couch. later on, i heard that he woke up and had no idea why his pants were in the middle of the hallway leading to the bedrooms. hahaha! he was so startled to wake up on the couch in just his skivvies.

I guess I'm not the only one who slept late. Well, late only relative to the fact it's Friday. Actually I woke up before 11 which is quite early for me...

I was thinking of time zones and it got me thinking... What time would you use if you were smack in the middle of North/South Pole? Would it default to GMT? What about if you were on an independent space ship???
