Holy shit I finally get to ride my damn bike today. I didn't get to yesterday which made me so sad. I wonder how fast I will be able to get it to go this time. I have only got to go like 60 in the neighborhood since there isn't a whole lot of room.

I need to buy some cool leather boots, but I don't really know what to get. I thought about buying riding boots, but they aren't much for walking in. I don't want big clunky boots either, so it's kind of hard to find something. Although I did find a bad ass pair of Doc Martens, too bad they are $160.

Get boots that give you good ankle support so you don't break your ankle in a crash.

I just picked up a pair of motocross boots this week but I ride a dual sport so they are appropriate, I don't plan on walking in them much.

We ride in a group, so we do a lot of riding but we also do a lot of hanging out which means walking. There are some really cool Alpinestars boots though. Damn, I just can't make up my mind.

I wanted to get these Icon boots, but I really can't have anything with a high heel on it. I keep the slutty boots for going out, not for riding in.

I got the Alpinestars Tech6's they are really stiff, I can't really feel the shifter or brake pedal. I walked the dog in them last night to help break them in, they were ok for 20 minutes of walking but I wouldn't want to go to the zoo or something in them, I'd throw a pair of sneakers in my top box if I was planning on doing any real walking, you could fit a nice pair of sandals in a tank bag for those times when you're going to do a lot of walking.

Given the choice go function over fashion, boots are safety gear and that should be the #1 concern.

I know. I don't think the big chunky leather ones will be any good. They don't fit me very well. I'll probably just end up buying a pair of riding boots. I always bring a backpack, so it's not a big deal to keep an extra pair of shoes in it. I was just hoping there would be something cute and functional.
