to my friend's wedding, i just wore a sleeveless wrap dress in teal blue (pics are on fb if you wanna see).
that day, my friends and i had trouble thinking of what to wear to the wedding. you can see in some of the group pics what the other girls wore. the trend was strapless sundresses with floral print.
cotton is a good fabric 'cause it breathes better in hot weather. plus, it's casual but has the ability to be more formal depending on how you style your hair and what accessories you wear. i tend to not wear black at weddings 'cause i've grown up with the belief that black is for funerals only. so... yeah, personally i can't wear it, but apparently, black is totally okay. so if you have a dress like that...
separates (like nice slacks/trousers or a chiffon skirt with a silky cami/shell and textured cotton blend jacket) are okay too, but you have to be careful about the theme of the wedding, 'cause sometimes separates can look too casual/informal.
* thaiger shrugs.
hope that helps!
