Well, mind you, not everybody can brew beer/hard liquor at their place. Some don't even have a place to brew them, some just don't got the skillz.

I like to drink but 4~5 beer and i'm out. :/ (on the flip side, that also means it's cheaper for me to get drunk :D). and i get a nasty hangover that makes me sick at the slightest movement. oh and i don't particularly enjoy waking up not knowing how, when and what i did before i went to sleep...

Absinthe tastes horrible imo. That and Stroh should be avoided, too dangerous.

Love Jäger though. Jägermeister + Red Bull is my favorite drink by far. Totally unique taste.
Used to drink vodka straight but you get drunk (and sick) way too fast that way.

I drink beer because I like the taste and not to get drunk or as a warm up. Starting maybe five or six hours before the main party.

But I prefer a more, shall we say natural way to get intoxicated these days.
Alot cheaper and safer though it's only an option at private parties.

Edit: Oh and blad, seriously man death at 22 sounds probable. Ease up with the strong and home made stuff...

i used to enjoy really heavy amounts of alcohol, then one day, overdid it and got sick, since then anything beyond a buzz doesn't offer the same comfort. but i found a way around that. get some weed and i can get so drunk that i can't even feel stepping on a nail, and still feel at ease. weed reduces the nystagmus, dizziness, and powers your vision at near sobering levels. also reduces hangover  :)

I (barely) remember the first time I smoked. White russian for those of you who knows your shit, not the drink.
Followed by 350 ml vodka in under one hour. Man did I not know what I was doing... Major backfire.
I have never been so drunk in my life but almost no hangover so I can confirm that.

Now I know you don't need much in order to get drunk afterwards but I also know you don't really need anything besides the herbs. Well except massive amounts of junk food.

Absinthe has it's moments.

Personally a wine man. Reds to be precise. Some good merlot can go a long way.
And if you're mixing drinks, vodka is the way to go.

Wine is perfect for me when drinking alone. So is mead. :D Although I haven't had any for a few months now (again, I only drink home made mead).

The only thing I dislike about drinking is people who can't hold their liquor. Seriously, my classmate's got a strawberry vodka flavored graffiti on his bedroom wall from a party 3 weeks ago. Disgusting... Know your limits and drink accordingly. In my case, I can only drink pure vodka if I start with it. Makes me feel uncomfortable if I mix it with anything... Other than that I have no limitations besides my natural "your f*ing wasted" sense. When that is active, I stop drinking.

Oh and I don't actually make any of this "home made" drinks, all are usually courtesy of friends, acquaintances and family. And the best drinking parties happen at my friends "zidanica" (a small house, near a vineyard, used for storing and making wine among other things). His grandfather once bet us that we're too weak to drink 100 liters of wine over a weekend. There was 14 of us, and we barely made it. Each of us got a bottle of that years finest "cviček" for a prize. :D Please do note that I probably never got over 4 liters that weekend, some of my other friends are real psychos and can drink twice as more... If we lost the bet, we'd have to clean wine crystals from barrels that year, not an easy task.

I'll drink mostly anything except tequila and wine. Both give me migranes and hangovers for some reason so I usually just drink Bud Ice. (I like a good scotch when I can afford it, or when someone gifts me a bottle) But I'm just your average Joe Six-Pack. After a hard day at work, just wanna grab a sixer out of the fridge and watch some TV.

Hmm. I know they have Bud Light in Japan, but I wonder if they carry Bud Ice? I'll be going there in May. They sell Sapporo in my area, maybe I should try to acquire a taste for that. If I recall, it wasn't horrible.

I have a case of Jubelale at home right now. The only time I can drink beer like Bud/Miller/Coors (light Lagers) is on a super-hot day and even then it has to be ice cold but I still would prefer something with more flavor.  I can see why it's so popular though, it's sweet, cold, and mild-flavored, pretty much like a hoppy flavored soda.

You ever try Bud Ice? It really isn't a light beer. It has a little tang, or kick to it compared to say, Bud Light. I think the alcohol content is 5.5% as opposed to the 4.1% in Bud Light. But I think I know what you mean.

I can't drink really heavy beers though. They kinda sit around in my stomach and makes it harder for me to consume more. :P

I'm not a fan of Lagers in general, the flavor just doesn't appeal to me.  I could care less about the alcohol content, if I wanna get buzzed I'll drink liquor, I have a hard time drinking enough beer (even strong beer) to get a buzz, I think I'd have to drink about a case of typical 3.2% american Lager to get a buzz, but I'd feel bloated and sick before I got there.  I sober up real quick so I'd have to drink it awful fast to really feel any effect (other than a full bladder anyways).

i personally am not a huge drinker i tend to only drink at parties and other social events, but ide rather have a nice glass of hard liquor to sip on(if its nice shit) or just do a shot or 2 every now and then. However im not opposed to getting drunk with friends and going through a couple bottles of whiskey between a a few ppl.

Just not a fan of beer in general, i dont particurally enjoy the taste, it doesnt have much alcohol, and as bcr said i get bloated from drinking it.

A huge cup of black coffee and the latest episode of House. Life could only get sweeter if I were allowed to smoke inside and, uh, still were allowed to smoke...

Yea I hate these changes for smokers, though i think it's still more acceptable over here than america. Reminds me of that South Park clip.

i in general am against the cracking down on smokers the only one that makes even remote sense to me is the one stopping people from smoking while driving for safety reasons is the only reason i MIGHT support this. Other then that its just more and more ways the slowly take away things people do.

Its the same with taxes and everything else.

Americans are like a frog, if you put a frog in boiling water it goes insane trying to escape, if you put it in a pot of water and slowly bring that water to boiling it will swim around until it dies.

As a non-smoker who avoids businesses that allow smoking I like the bans on smoking because it opens up more places for me to go. I don't have to decide between getting a pounding headache or avoiding certain places.

Smoking in a restaurant is like standing up in a movie theater and screaming through the whole movie.

I agree with bans on smoking in restaurants and I would never dream of smoking in my car. It would be impossible to sell it afterwards...
But I really like smoking while drinking and now you can't even smoke by the table outside of pubs.
I understand why we are not allowed to smoke inside but, come on let us still be able to smoke outside.

Almost two months now without a single cigarette now.

Oh and for smokers in Japan: Mild Seven and Seven Stars, best brands ever. I miss those.

meh force the restaurants that want a smoking section to have ventilation systems, i dont care stick smokers in a seperated room i dont care.
But to let people smoke freely where they want (minus the obvious doctors and emergency room stuff) and then 100 years later take that away. Its fucking ridiculous. And they use that as an excuse to stop tons of other things, in california kids arent allowed to have bake sales. There are dozens of other scenarios where things people should be able to and could do freely a few years back they no longer can.
In some cities you cant smoke on the street now either, you cant smoke in your car, you cant smoke in a bar. Why not either makes cigarettes illegal or stfu honestly cuz they arent gonna force everyone to quit by being assholes.

I dont smoke, i dont enjoy smoke in my face, but i would rather inhale smoke 24/7 then what peoples freedoms get shit on

As a light smoker, I can understand most bans. Restaurants? Sure. I hate smoking around me while I'm eating and I'm a smoker. Public places? Eh, not so sure. If it's outside, and they have designated areas, why not?

But the thing that gets me the most is... BARS. I want to fucking smoke in a bar! I'm going there to indulge my vices and relax as with everyone else. If a bar wants to be a smoke free, then leave that choice up to them. I almost feel like Dennis Leary when he makes that speech from Demolition man...
