Thanks for reminding me it was Labor day weekend, though I think my sis is a bit mad at me. She wanted me to watch her kids, instead I'm taking care of our mother that has the flu. Though I think she may have talked to me about it, but with all the craziness that happened that weekend I'm not even sure... Though I believe it is next weekend she volunteered me to watch her kids in Idaho without really talking to me about it. She plans to go out bar hopping for a friends birthday over there.

I had a D&D game on Sunday and one of the players is a Chief that also is partly in charge of the barracks. We got McDonald's for dinner (it's close by) and he got a big bag.

Well we had room inspects Monday morning since we got underway today (Tuesday) and we failed the room inspect because I didn't think they'd do it that early on a Federal holiday. Well I find out we failed and I look around and see Chief's bag of McDonald's still on the deck of my room. Weak

But I passed the reinspect.

The biggest comment we get from visitors is "how does your guys' room pass inspections?" due to the plethora of anime figures and D&D stuff. Apparently the anime figures get a pass 'cause they're decorations and the D&D stuff... probably because all the inspectors know we play D&D with one of the RA Chiefs (the one that left the McD's bag).

Ive thought many times of starting up on D&D, but then i realize i don't know where to start. Times another big factor, but after my 4 year hesitation i find myself still wanting to try.

Its not hard, just buy/download the books and read, read and read some more.

Start with D&D computer games first. They are easier to master.

The Temple of Elemental Evil will be a good first choice for beginners. As far as I know it's the only true turn-based RPG adaptation of D&D.

The game is hard but D&D is supposed to be hard lol
