You can pm me   ;D
Your profile says you are 17 and from Iran... couldn't that get me arrested, and you shot in a public square?

Rofl never

Unless, well, Mossad mistakes me for a genuine Iran national x3

Iran hangs, not shoot in a public square btw.

My French teacher was the best though. Again she sat right in front of his desk, and when she nodded off he crept over, went BAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! really loudly, ran across to the lights and kept turning them off and on going "Night! Day! Night! Day! Night! Day!" and then finally turned half on and went "dusk! Do you understand?"
Reminds me of a Chemistry teacher I had.

He would wait until we were all concentrated in our exams, then he spotted the student that seemed to be the most concentrated and absorbed into the exam. He would then sneak just behind is ears to scream "xx MINUTES TO THE COMBAT!!!" (where xx is the amount of minutes left). Each time, it all disrupted our concentration and freak out whoever had been yelled in the ears. He would then yell a couple more times during the exam, or start dancing and singing.

Ha ha. Thats awesome.

One of my uni lecturers yesterday said that an old student recorded one of his lectures, and removed all the swear words and there was hadly any lecture left!

I don't like chemistry.

I can't visualize the problems in chemistry.

Really? I love Chemistry because I can visualize the problems so easily.

As a matter of fact, I would probably be still studying organic chemistry today if it was not for my inability to cope with product that cause sterility if I ever drop 1 mL on my skin (or was it 0.1 mL? I forgot). I am way too paranoid to handle that.

The inability to visualize problems is why I could not bear physics. Biology was easy, but boring.

Awww... Lucky... and all my high school chemistry teacher ever did was teach us how to use battery acid and iodine to create a pressure sensitive ignition trigger for improvised explosive devices, and how to render LSA (the precursor to LSD)

My chemistry teacher wore socks with sandals all year round, crashed his bike lots and could be easily distracted from actual work to blowing stuff up.

My physics teacher spent lessons talking about robbing banks.

I had a pretty cool lot of teachers

Physics had always been easier to visualize for me.

Although, I expect my opinion will change also if we start tackling advanced electromagnetism, which occurs at very microscopic level. Happened when I went to statistics from algebra. (full of random numbers) Right now we are still at thermodynamics specifically dealing with spatial expansion. Easy to visualize the new size of objects.  8)

The same teacher let us do crazy experiments that no sane teacher would have let us do.

The worse one was when we were discussing reaction speed. The theory, as per the book, was that the greater the surface of contact is, the more concentrated the liquids are and the hotter the liquids are, the faster the reaction was. it all made sense but we wanted to see it ourselves, and the teacher listened to our insane request.

We picked a classic experiment, HCl with magnesium, but changed the variables: we used 12 mol/L HCl (ie most concentrated possible) that was heated at 40°C and magnesium nuggets that we ground into dust (for contrast, we usually use wires).

The result?

The reaction was so intense that the water is the HCl solution started boiling which created a geyser effect. The guy who put the dust into the erlenmeyer was just quick enough to avoid being hit by the hot steam coming out of the flask. Less than one second of hesitation and he would have burned his face.

The teacher made us leave the class because there was probably HCl (gaseous) in the air as well.

The previous year, he made some of his students build him a parabola that would concentrate the sun's light enough to cook him eggs.

An object named parabola? Never heard of it.  :) Is it like a curved mirror?

That's most likely not the correct English term for is. Curved mirror is probably the best term for it.

Anyway, how many square meters of mirror did you need to satisfy him?

What kind of trouble you think you would get into? ;D

@Borror0: I would of got in so much trouble in that class...
Most likely because we all did. Especially the teacher. XD

He was also teaching a course Scientific Methodology which was, basically, just a way to let all the science oriented have fun in their last year of High School. We had projects that we had to bring to term and we were evaluated in the seriousness we put into it, as well as to how successful the project was.

He asked me and another guy to build a supersized door bell for our final project so that he could show how electromagnetism can be used in the real world to younger students. We obliged and were quite successful at that. He was the door bell of hell, though, because it was really noisy (that is to be expected of a "door bell" that is over ten times the usual size).

After evaluating our work, he asked us to go install it in the principal's office on Friday evening. He helped us wire it to the light so that, for as long as the lights were on, the bell would not stop ringing. I let you imagine the principal's reaction on Monday morning when she turned the lights on.

Anyway, how many square meters of mirror did you need to satisfy him?
I didn't work on that project but it was pretty big.

I would probably get in trouble for attempting to make explosives in class by how loose the teacher sounds on care. Though I did at the school I went to anyway and that teacher was a prick when it came to watching over the students, it was lucky enough that he had all the students on different projects (to keep us from cheating off the group next to us) that I was able to get everything I needed.

Rightoooo. Thats 16 pages of sketchbook work done for this piece of 3d work. Now to pop into town to get some money and then off charity shop browsing before they close. Then on to  storyboarding work for my AfterEffects animation

No, he is the kind of teacher to help you build explosive and then use it in the school's yard.

However, he was very good at watching over us so that no one would ever steal anything from the lab. If any of us ever stole something from there other than magnesium wire, I would be surprised.
