See now, if that actually happened in the series, the dumb filler episodes with The Detective Boys would actually be amusing, rather than just another random trivial mystery ... and I always wondered how they got away with making only 5 out of every 100 episodes deal with the main plot of the series (i.e. finding the Syndicate)

With series like that I always hate the plot episode. I'm more in it for the character development and for the genius character to completely own everyone else.
