My opinon is pretty biased since i can't stand suzaku and i actually like lelouch. I've watched alot of anime in my time, but honestly theres no one i hate more then him. Theres plently i dislike, but this peep should win awards for how much of a dick he is. I agree that he serves the purpose of creating opposition for lelouch. Though maybe he true purpose is to do stuff that make us hate him. And then feel satisfaction when lelouch finally paralises him from the neck down and puts em in a wheelchair for rest of his life. That was a joke incase some peeps can't tell overwise
Tbh imo the true enemy in geass is the britannia empire since their tyrants who invade countries then grind the native peoples under their boots. Now who works for the brits? Suzaku. Who's fighting the brits? Lelouch. What on earth is the self proclaimed hero/good guy doing working for the bad guys? All his talk about changing from within is crap since he don't actually do anything intelligent of his own violation. It's bs he spouts to make up for is inability to do anything besides being a crap solider (He refuses to follow orders when it comes to killing people. He really should get booted out or just quit, hes not cut out to being a solider).
Yeh i know geass is a murky world and all. Im sure if u look for it every character in it is a bit of a hypocrite, lier and such. But suzaku has come out on top. He's like a house with a very pretty exterior, but it's interior is rotted and the foundations were built over the corpses of the peeps the builders had to kill to build the house in the frist place. Last thing; He killed his father. It's not like he hated him enough to kill him, nor did his father abuse him or go around murdering people personnally. His reason for killing his dad was just not reason enough to murder him. Lots of peeps hate their fathers, but they don't kill them. Suzaku is a messed up, messed up person for even doing it, forget his reasons.
