Succeeding? Ok i grant u hes getting what he wants but i tell u a couple of things. Frist of all i don't think Suzaku deserves half the honors/awards he gets. Lelouch does something, he gets ordered to counter it. Hmm, Lancealot+gay super skills he was granted gareentee succuses. Why should i rate him for just beating up peeps when someone else tells em to. Plus if Lelouch just refused to do anything then suzaku would end up sitting around collecting dust with nothing to do with himself. Thats diffrence between em, Lelouch makes decisons, devises plans, leads people and guides them. Suzaku just has to do what he's told.

About him being a hypocrite. A) Such a good and nobal person would not ever have involed and used Nunnally in their plans. B) He states that he cannot tolarate killing at all. He's bloody involed with an empire thats primary agenda is invasions. He was F!*(!ing involed in one of the war's himself, fighting alongside brit troops. He must have been surrounded by killing and murder. Yet he happly keeps going forward with his empire. Oh and in series 1 the raid on the eleven slums area they were killing japanese peeps all the time and he didn't do much about that too.

Lastly about the gaining power. Yes normally gain enough power and u can do stuff with it. But im fairly sure that with Suzaku it's both an excuse and delusion of his. I reckon that Suzaku don't have a bloodly clue how to do any of the changes he has in mind, nor what changes he'd want to make. All he's ever said is 'I will change things from within.' I don't think he's capable of doing any of that himself. His only talents lie in fighting prowess and following orders. That won't help him be a leader or change the world. Suzaku is stuck, don't know how he's gonna do what he wants to. So he tells himself 'If i get power enough that will solve my problems and give me the answer as to how to do it.'

First of all, in order to change the system, you have one of two paths, inside or outside. I don't agree with a lot of the things that our government does, but does that mean I shouldn't try and run for office to try and change things?? that's what your argument states, that the ONLY way to change things is from the outside, and that's not true.

If Suzaku was a blind idiot, don't you think Toudou would have opposed him. If you remember when Toudou was being freed, Toudou told Suzaku to follow that path if that was what he truly believed. I doubt Toudou would have approved of Suzaku's plans if they really were foolish. and Suzaku clearly is resistant to some orders.

Also, Suzaku truly believes in what he is doing and is trying to help those he cares about. Lelouch is a devious bastard and uses people to reach his goals. Up until recently he didn't give a rats ass about any of his subordinates, only getting revenge on Brittania. While Suzaku may be annoying at times, he sticks to his ideals. Lelouch has no morals and only cares about his goal. So you praising Lelouch while condemning Suzaku is a little out of place.

(Taking a break from the Suzaku thing...)

It has been a while since I last posted something in this thread. But then again it has been a while since a cartoon character was last able to infuriate me to the point where I desired to breathe black flame so as to forever incinerate her visage from all remains of human memory.

She is so despicably evil and underhanded that I believe that is the reason why her creators gave her no name. They knew that by assigning a title to this vile creature would forever tarnish all those who shared her same designation or who's name remotely held the ability to call forth memories associated with this purveyor of annoyances and evil deeds.

She looks innocent enough, dressed in a proper school girl's uniform and chatting in such a carefree manner. Covered in this sheep's clothing, she claims to not only be a friend but a council of sorts. She holds your hand and calmly guides you through the rules. She creates examples over and over again, so as to beguile you into thinking that she cares if you understand the guidelines of her dastardly farce of a "game".

The moment you let go of that hand, however immediately a timer appears out of nowhere! She never mentioned that! She stands to the right of your screen in that same school girl outfit, but now whenever you make a mistake she laughs and points. She giggles as you continue to blunder your way through a pile of shifting letters, in which one out of 6! (720) ways will create the needed 6 letter word in order to advance to the bonus round. She continues to mock and ridicule you and will even send an unnecessarily big red "X" to the center of your screen in order to further degrade your futile efforts to appease this unseen insatiable creature that sent her who consumes vocabulary words to stave off her consumption of your soul. (think silver surfer)

She will continue to taunt you from the sidelines, regardless of however you have advanced through the stages. You can never earn her respect or her silence. She forever, throws more and more letters at you all the while the ticking, yes the ticking never ceases. The sound of the clock, is the timer for your life. Each second that goes by brings you further and further to the end...yes the end.

The end where she shows her cruelty even more. No matter what your score, be ye a hermit or a salesman, "You can do better, Chris". She says. I did my BEST! I am sorry. I couldn't live up to your standards. Your words are bad enough, but what truly chills me to the bone is the cold judgment I see in her eyes. Yes the judgment that is present in every frame of her flash animation.

I loathe you unnamed schoolgirl, and I rue the day that I became addicted to your wicked, yet so sweet game...

I never said that u can't change things from within. I said Suzaku wouldn't know how to pull it off even with the combined power of colourful illistrations + 'idiots guide to changing the world from within.' He's never demonstrated any skills that would be vital to the task, and he never talks about what changes he'd want to make cuz he don't have a godamn clue. Make him emporer tommorrow and he'd be forced to order someone to tell him what to do.

Actually Lelouch is sticking true to what he's supposed to be doing too; being the bad guy. Betrayal, decite and manipulation all come part of the package. My point here was he's got some actual good in him + he's actually an evil fighting a greater evil (britannia empire), while suzaku works for that evil. Suzaku is the one who's betraying his good guy role and his ideals. Works for a nasty empire for starters. Then he don't lift a finger to stop them from all their murdering and killing. They went to war, invading another country, he fought alongside them. They killed innocent japanese peeps in the slum area, he fought alongside them. He's a hypocrite. If he ment what he said about killing people, he wouldn't stand for it for an instant.

Agreed. Peeps keep forgetting with the setting of the world that britannia is an empire. Ultimate authority lies with a single person alone and his agenda is going to be the one that really matters. Basicly decisions that get made, orders that get passed down only come about because he gives them the green light.

but Lelouch isn't good being evil, he's evil pretending to be good. He claims himself as the people champion yet he's murdered for his cause (The Japanese Liberation Front), etc.

as far as suzaku, if he stood against them now, he wouldn't do shit, he'd be killed himself and he wouldn't have accomplished a dame thing. Change from within takes a long time to happen, outside change is the more immediate change but also increases the casualties. Going from within, if you don't play their game, you won't get anywhere.

Here's a new character for you all to rant about. Raki from Claymore. GOD HE IS ANNOYING. Every episode I just hoped he would DIE. The backstory on Claire was a sweet break from Raki. Best part of the show just for that if not for the story.

No, he won't kill the king because that goes against his principles. What actions he can take really does depend on what kind of power he gets from raising in position. But I expect Suzaku to do something major before the series is over.

And it's not like he hasn't done anything, he was a huge part in establishing the new "Japan" with Euphie. If you remember, Lelouch was the one that fucked this up.

Also, I just watched episode 8 of r2, as you can see, without Suzaku, Lelouch wouldn't have been able to accomplish something along those lines. Suzaku clearly did something with his power, and I expect it will be just the beginning.

Ok, if i had to pick another one or two off the top of my head i'd say Light and L. Light's a pyscho nutcase who has delusions of godhood. And L is this monkey-man freak. The tennis match they played where they both thinking stuff like 'This tennis match will surely push him into revealing himself as kira,' and 'No, a tennis match won't give you what your looking for L,' was major stupid. It's a game of tennis for godsakes it don't mean anything. Oh and the whole period where they were cuffed to eachother was retarded.

Funny that i don't like deathnote or gundam at all. But i actually like Code geass which peeps say is a combination of both.

Tatewaki Kuno? ehhh, he's annoying, but in the same sense that most Ranma characters are. Principle Kuno was just an unnecessary edition. He started off Season 4, the worst of all 7 seasons by far, and really served little or no purpose. Tatewaki and Kodachi actually somewhat served more of a purpose and I could at least somewhat enjoy them

The principal was so unnecessarily stupid that it worked as a comic relief. Having him appear also makes you realize that the main cast of the show could be much worse than they are ;)

Ya and I would also like to explain why Shinn Asuka bothers me SOO MUCH.

He is the most ungrateful punk ever!! OMG. Kira saves his butt countless times and Kira is always trying to do the right thing and Shinn just gets in the way and messes things up! He is blinded by his own passion and just messes everything up! He should have joined forces with Kira from the beginning but he is just a big dummy head.
