1. Gurren-Lagann (the most impressive piece of work I've viewed recently

it just takes u on a ride, visually and emotionally

KICK REASON TO THE CURB, WE ARE GURREN-DAN~ bwahaha)
2. Zeta Gundam (probably the best Gundam series i've seen. Character development is sweet, along with mecha designs, and also the animation level at the time.)
3. Gundam 08th MS Team (the best short Gundam OVA. great storyline, and realistic Gundam mecha design)
4. Macross Plus (awesome animation, pretty much raised the bar for OVA animation. Even after a decade, it's still impressive to watch)
5. Yukikaze (the most beautiful anime i have ever laid my eyes on. also the best "deep" anime I've seen. touching ending

)
6. Black Cat (great fights, great storyline, great character development, and nice, crisp artwork)
7. Great Teacher Onizuka (just funny as hell. i don't think i've ever laughed so hard

)
8. Noein (the most unique animation style i've seen, brings up awesome animation sequences and fights!~)
9. Naruto (the only "generic" fighting anime worth mentioning. its not really as generic to me, as it's unique in the fact that it tries to play on the ninjutsu theme, rather than just ordinary "I GAIN SUPER POWER HADUOKEN" fights. pretty fun to watch (and more importantly, reading the manga xD IMO, ahead of Bleach by MILES)
10. Code Geass (an honorable mention

Awesome concept, awesome animation, awesome mecha design, and an immensely awesome cast of characters. but SHIT-tastic ending. But i'll forgive them, because a 25 episode direct sequel is promised, as only half of show has been released so far. I can't wait to see how they wrap it up. It'll either be fucking epic, or incredibly full of ass.

)
And yeah my list is pretty much worthy entertainment for anyone (besides numbers 2~4, which probably mecha fans would enjoy the most.) but other than that, everything is probably the most entertaining, fantastic anime works ever produced.

If you've watched any of these shows, you'll know why they're on my list
