I didn't actually realise he was THAT old until I saw the news of his death. Amazing to keep going that long.
The guy actually volunteered to fight in the Finnish winter war and was sent home because he was shit at skiing.
And he worked for MI6 in the second world war. Imagine that.

Because we can!

So James Bond, Death, Dracula and Saruman are all one and the same Sith relative of Charlemagne.
Did we miss anyone?

IKR, I always thought he was in his 60's or something.

The world is losing it's greatest actors one by one.  :'(

As a child, back in the 50's, I always enjoyed even the worst B movies that he was in.  I think that it was his professionalism.

In the 1950s? o_O

How old are you, man?!

Hey Hey, careful.  Many of us are older than we'd care to admit -- and, hopefully,
one day, you will be too ;)    (just had a birthday, jun 11th, and feeling old...)

Havent you seen LOTR, The Hobbit or at least Star Wars? He's Saruman and Count Dooku.

Although for The Hobbit, he wasn't with everyone else in New Zealand for filming. Jackson filmed everyone else, and then had Chris superimposed afterwards in London as Chris felt that the flight from London to Auckland via Los Angeles (and then another flight to Wellington) would have been too taxing for him at that point (nearly a 30 hour trip).
